How to Fix Windows Update Error Code 0x800f081f (5 Steps)

6. After the PC reboots, press the 'R' key again while holding down the [Windows logo key] on the keyboard.


7. Enter 'appwiz.cpl' and click [OK].


8. In the [Programs and Features] window, select [Turn Windows features on or off].


9. Check the [.NET Framework 3.5 (including NET 2.0 and 3.0)] checkbox and click [OK].


10. Messages such as 'Searching for necessary files' and 'Applying changes' appear. And continue following the prompt to install '.NET Framework 3.5'.


11. When finished, the message [Windows has completed the requested changes] is displayed, click [Restart].


12. After restarting the PC, proceed with Windows Update. If error code 0x800f081f appears, proceed to the next step.

 

 

 

 

Method 5. Manually Install Net Framework 3.5

 

1. Click the address below and download the Net Framework 3.5 installation file to your PC.

2. Double-click the downloaded 'dotnetfx35.exe' file to install it.

 

3. Select [Download and install this feature].

 

4. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.

 

5. After restarting the PC, proceed with the update.
